Spybot Search & Destroy
This is a must have to help protect your computer from all of the spyware out there. It does not have a live detection besides the immunization database, but if you run it at least once a week, it will increase your computers security tremendously!
Lavasoft Adaware SE Personal
This is another must have to help protect your computer from adaware, it is another version of malware unlike spyware. This free version will use a live protection feature for a year, and after that you need to run it at least once a week to help keep your computer clean!
Microsoft Windows Defender
Remove spyware from your PC and prevent unwanted software from being installed without your knowledge.
Antivirus Software :
AVG Free Edition
This is a very good FREE virusscan software. If you do not want to shell out the money for larger name brand programs, this is a very good option. Any protection is better than nothing when it comes to viruses.
